How to Travel?

Air:
Since Bhutan is land locked and currently has no transcontinental or long-haul flight connections, the air traveler will first have to reach one of the seven neighboring gateway cities: Bangkok, Delhi, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Bagdogra or Guwati and during the winter season there are also direct flights from Bodh Gaya(the foremost pilgrimage center of world Buddhism ) in north India. Conveniently it may be easiest for many visitors to use Bangkok as a hub because in most cases no Visa for Thailand shall be required. Otherwise those flying via Kathmandu shall have to obtain a Nepalese visa either in advance or on arrival at Tribhuvan Airport in Nepal. Travelers connecting through Dhaka or any of the Indian airports will require a pre-arranged visa(double entry if existing through the same country); India also requires a pre-arranged endorsement permitting re-entry within two months.Booking a Bhutan trip well in advance with the confirmed dates of entry and exit from Bhutan will help us to obtain your seats on the Druk Air flight on your prefered travel dates. This is because DrukAir has a limited seating capacity and also flight frequency is less.

We, Bhutan Pine Castle Tours will do your Druk Air flight booking upon receipt of Drukair fare from you in advance and send the e-tickets to you via email.
